Unique Classic Car Features We Love & Miss

Unique Classic Car Features We Love & Miss

Welcome to the first series of posts on “Things Car Manufacturers Don’t Do Any More” that I did on Instagram. There is something very pleasing about the “cars of yesteryear” or as we call them, “classic cars”. The more you look at them, the more fascinating details will catch your attention.

I visited the Horniman Circle at Fort, one Sunday morning and saw a few beauties that I had seen a few times before (but it never gets boring).

And this time around, I made sure to click and share the unique features of these classic cars, that caught my attention. I wish Car Manufactures would bring some of these features again. I ran this series on Instagram, where I shared in detail about each feature. If you missed it, maybe you aren’t following me on Instagram? Go follow now, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

And I am available for conversations via Direct Message on Instagram too. So if you ever want to share or ask me anything, this is the easiest and fastest way to get connected! 🙂

Without further ado, here are the “Things Car Manufacturers Don’t Do Any More”:

#1 Vibrant & Colorful interiors

I am in love with the red interior on this 1959 Chevy Impala. No idea why we’re stuck with beige, black or white as the only options these days. 😝

#2 Curved Glass Windscreens/Windshields

I mean just look at that windshield! 🤤 It looks so sexy! What new car do you think could pull this off?

#3 Stylish Wheels with white walls

The latest fad these days is to have spoked wheels, thank god some people do choose to experiment with color alloys. Nothing like these though!

#4 Headlights with Wipers

We now have hidden washers instead of these cute little wipers for our headlights.

#5 Sexy Chrome ORVMs

These or body-colored ORVMs? What would you choose for your ride?

#6 The Rear Fog Lights or High mounted tail lights

I don’t know if they were purposeful, I don’t even know if they are actually working or just for show! But it does look fascinating!

#7 Beautiful tail sections

This is the 1959 Chevy Biscayne. Along with the Biscayne, Chevy was also producing the Bel Air & Impala. They all had very similar designs, but I’m sure the young people at that time could easily tell them apart.

#8 Crazy-looking chrome decoration on the sides

Does anyone know what are these called? Also, how much HP does it add 😜?

#9 Shiny chrome bumper guards

These are just too classy!

There are more things that I am sure you know of, so do let me know about them, I’ll definitely try to find them. I’ll save them until I get photos of them myself!

Do you want a part 2 of this series?

I hope you liked this little series that I did. It does make me aware of the beauty and things of yesteryear that somehow have gone missing. Some for good, and some for the bad. Feel free to leave me with your thoughts!

Follow me on Instagram and save yourself from missing out on the action – again! 🙁 There is more coming up on the blog here and Instagram too! I hope to see you there! 🙂
